If you missed the maple sugaring event in Stamford a few weekends back as I did, thanks to the snow, another event is being held this weekend in New Milford at Sullivan Farm.
The event is described on their site, www.youthagency.org as follows:
Celebrate the history of Maple Syrup from early colonial times through the present as costumed interpreters walk you through three centuries of Maple Syrup History. See syrup made the old fashioned way, watch as we demonstrate the art of making Maple Candy and taste some of the finest Maple Syrup in New England. Admission Free/ Food Available/Maple Products Available.
Group tours for the “Story of Maple Sugaring” start February 23rd and run until March 31, 2009. Please call their office to schedule a tour.
