Winter Farmers’ Market at the FTC
Yes, you can eat locally even in the winter. And it’s not all root vegetables either! There’s cheese, meat, poultry, eggs, organic greens grown hydroponically, teas, sustainably grown seafood, baked goods, goat’s milk soaps and more. The indoor winter farmer’s market that was held at the Fairfield Theater Company on Sanford Street in downtown Fairfield last year has returned to the same venue this year on Saturday, December 5 from 10-2 and will be open every Saturday until mid April.
So far 15 vendors have signed up to participate in the market and they are working to see if more can be accommodated. You’ll recognize these vendors as participants in the Westport farmers’ market, which ends on November 19.
