Thoughts of chocolate tend to fill our heads right around Valentine’s Day, more so than any other day of the year. While a bar of organic Fair Trade chocolate is a beautiful gift, dessert usually requires setting aside some time to dig out a favorite recipe or find a new one, buy the specialty ingredients, and then prepare and bake it. Don’t forget cleaning up the mess. If you’re short on time this year, don’t despair, Peace Tree Desserts has a four star bake-at-home solution.

This Valentine’s Day Peace Tree Baking owner and pastry chef Robyn Eads has created a decadent and fun bake at home dessert set perfect for any sustainable food – and chocolate – lover. The Sustainable Chocolate Lovers Valentine’s Day Dessert Set includes an organic dark Taza chocolate soufflé for two, a petite jar of cajeta caramel drizzling sauce (Mexican style caramel made with goat’s milk), and three organic strawberries draped in organic dark Taza chocolate. One taste and you will feel the love for her craft and ingredients burst through your taste buds.

As with all Peace Tree’s baked goods, the ingredients are either organic or sourced from local, sustainable farms. This set features organic, direct trade Taza chocolate, local CT eggs, and Wild Hive Farm’s organic whole wheat flour that’s grown and milled in NY’s Hudson Valley.

This dreamy Valentine’s Day set comes beautifully boxed in Peace Tree’s signature sustainable brown boxes wrapped with red and pink ribbon, and tastefully topped with a single rose. Tucked inside the box you’ll find directions for baking the soufflé, direct from your refrigerator, in 20 minutes. On the bottom of the box a fragrant surprise awaits. Hint: It’s fit for artfully decorating the plate.

If you have a friend in need of a lift, this makes the perfect gift.  Just don’t forget to also get one for yourself. Chocolate, vanilla bean, cinnamon, coffee and strawberry are aphrodisiacs after all.
