Join Barcelona Wine Bar in Fairfield & Fairfield Green Food Guide on Tuesday on July 24 from 6 to 8 pm for a “Harvest Happy Hour” to welcome the Farmigo program to Connecticut. This casual event will take place in Barcelona’s edible garden with a seasonal cooking demo by Chef Helton. It’s the perfect opportunity to learn how to prepare vegetables the Barcelona way. The Barcelona Cookbook and other products from Barcelona’s marketplace will be available for sale.
Complimentary light snacks and sangria will be served and representatives from Farmigo and a few local farmers & artisans will be on hand to explain the program. Read about this innovative buying program in our feature article, CSAs Go a la Carte.
Attendance is limited. To RSVP for this event, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Come as you are and feel free to drop in for a few minutes to check out the garden, what Chef Helton is preparing, and the Farmigo program.
Barcelona’s Farmigo program is a buy-as-you-go model, allowing you to place an order for fresh vegetables online as-needed (by Sunday) and to pick up your local vegetables each Tuesday between 3 and 8 pm at the restaurant. Of course you may just find yourself enjoying a few tapas and chatting about recipes when you pick up your farm-fresh vegetables, eggs and artisan bread.
Barcelona Fairfield is located at 4180 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield, CT. For more information or to place an order, visit: http://community.farmigo.com/barcelona-wine-bar.
