Up for a food adventure? Red Bee Apiary is holding a Honey and Artisan Olive Oil Tasting & Pairing Workshop that marries the best of monofloral honeys with single varietal olive oils. For this special tasting, Marina Marchese, a beekeeper, author and founder of Red Bee Honey, teams up with Alina Lawrence of Olivette, purveyor of quality olive oils in Darien, CT. After a tour of the apiary, you’ll be formally seated at the tasting table to discover new flavor sensations and magical pairings ideas that you can easily translate to your own dining table. All paid guest will receive a signed copy of Marina’s book HONEYBEE:Lessons from an Accidental Beekeeper and a sample bottle of olive oil from Olivette.

Marchese is the president of the Back Yard Beekeepers Association  of CT. She studied the sensory analysis of honey tasting in Montalcino, Italy and has presented her signature Honey Tasting Laboratory Workshops at top shelf NYC venues including Murray’s Cheese Shop, Artisanal Premium Cheese Center, and Mario Batali’s Eataly.Marina.
