I consider dinners at any farm to be the ne plus ultra of local food experiences. Food is picked that day from the farm, then the chef and his team create a menu that lets the ingredients’ freshness and flavor shine. It’s an occasion you’ll likely never forget, so bringing good friends is highly recommended.
The Schoolhouse at Cannondale has been holding a series of popular farm to fork dinners at Millstone Farm in Wilton for a few years, and has released their summer 2013 schedule. Dinners tickets are still available for
will be held on June 19, July 17, August 21, August 22, September 19, October 16 and October 17. Arrive at 6:00 pm for a farm tour and cocktail hour, then sit for dinner at 7:00 pm. The three-course meal includes wine (but you may bring your own bottle too) and will be served out in the field in fair weather or in the farmhouse if it rains.
The cost is $126.35 per person (includes tax and gratuity), and must be paid in advance. Dinner purchases are non-refundable but can be transferred to another guest.
