Garlic Harvesting Day at Ambler Farm

Ambler Farm Family Garlic Harvesting Program

Saturday, July 20 from 10 am- 12 noon 13th, 12:00 noon – 2:00pm (note new date and time)

Program Manager Kevin Meehan and Farmer Jonathan Kirschner will teach guests all about garlic – from planting, harvesting, drying and storing – as you harvest your own organically grown garlic at Ambler Farm. Each family will receive some heads of garlic to take home. Make a day of it by stopping by the farm stand to shop for just-picked vegetables (open 9am-2pm), visit with the farm animals, walk the gardens and fields, and enjoy a picnic lunch! Bring our own lunch to enjoy at the farm.

Register by calling or emailing the farm at 203.834.1143  or

Ambler Farm

257 Hurlbutt Street

Cost: $15/family

If you are unable to attend this event, but would like to learn about growing your own garlic, please refer to A Farmer’s Guide to Growing Your Own Garlic.
