Hopkins Vineyard

Saturday, October 19th

11a.m. to 5 p.m.

CT Cheese and Wine Festival at Hopkins Winery

The 4th annual Connecticut Cheese and Wine Festival, organized by Artisan Made-Northeast and Hopkins Vineyard, will feature locally made handcrafted cheeses, boutique wines and specialty foods and crafts from some of the Northeast’s top producers.

Festival guests will be offered a tasting menu pairing many of the festival’s foods and wines. Certified Sommelier, Sally Camm, will give a presentation on pairing and demonstrate how to compose a cheese plate complete with accompaniments.

Hopkins Vineyard is a family-owned farm along the picturesque northern shore of Lake Waramaug. The farm’s first vines were planted in 1979, and a 19th century barn on the land was converted into a state-of-the-art winery.

Participating wineries will also include: Jones Winery, Walker Road Vineyard and Sunset Meadow Vineyards.

Local cheese producers and specialty foods and craftmakers will be also featured. Among them: Cato Corner Farm, Beltane Farm, Artisan Made-Northeast, Thistle Hill Farm, Blue Ledge Farm, Woodcock Farm, Percy Thomson Meadow Farm, Le Petite France, Vulto Creamery, Green Mountain Blue Cheese, Wave Hill Breads, Savor Cookies, Winding Drive Jams & Jellies, Mariah’s Chow Chow Relishes, Oak Leaf Dairy, Café Solar Organic Free Trade Coffee, Alba Flower Apiaries Honey, Woolen It Be Nice, and Bella Alpacas Farm.

Live music will be provided by keyboardist, composer and Broadway performer, Jerold Goldstein.

Event takes place under a tent so bring the whole family rain or shine!
