Natural Awakenings Announces New Fairfield Green Food Guide Section

By Analiese Paik

Analiese Paik, Founder & Editor of the Fairfield Green Food Guide, has joined Natural Awakenings-Fairfield County as Food Editor.

There is exciting news on the local-sustainable food front: I have joined  Natural Awakenings Magazine – Fairfield County as food editor.  Each month, a dedicated Fairfield Green Food Guide-branded section will feature articles, resource guides, news briefs and business profiles that inspire and empower readers to eat locally and sustainably. This new food section recognizes the interest Natural Awakenings readers have in eating green as part of their sustainable lifestyles.

Natural Awakenings Magazine is a free publication available at libraries, retailers, medical practices, spas and gyms throughout Fairfield County. Look for the FGFG-branded food section beginning in July. This is a link to the digital June issue announcing my joining the team as food editor and giving readers a taste of what to expect in the new section. Page 6 is a letter from publisher Nicole Miale, pages 24-25 are a Community Spotlight interview with me, and pages 46-47 are my Eating with the Seasons article, which I wrote to inspire readers to visit farm stands and farmers’ markets to break out of a vegetable rut and explore new culinary horizons. I hope you enjoy it.

I started FGFG over 5 years ago and didn’t know where it would ultimately lead, but I had a very firm conviction that it was import work to do. It’s very gratifying to have another publisher validate my work and the void it fills in the marketplace. I’m thrilled to extend my award-winning brand to print. Nicole is a visionary and in true entrepreneurial style, has embraced collaboration as a growth strategy. I welcome my online readers to also read the FGFG section of Natural Awakenings to enjoy even more green food articles, news and resources. And I welcome Natural Awakenings readers to this website to complement and expand on the content found in our section in the magazine. We’ve already started work on the July issue and we’re coming out with a bang. Don’t miss it!

Thanks so much for your loyal readership. Because of your support, our brand has expanded to print and I couldn’t be more proud.
