About the Vegetables:
At Maitri Farm, we use all organic-approved inputs and practices to grow our vegetables, and we are in the process of applying for organic certification. We never use synthetic chemical fertilizers or pesticides, herbicides, or GMOs, so you can trust that your food is responsibly grown in a way that expresses sincere care for our workers, our environment, and your health.
About the Eggs:
Maitri Farm’s flock of laying hens is composed of three unique breeds. Our Ameraucanas, sometimes known as “Easter Eggers,” produce blue and green-shelled eggs beloved for their color and excellent taste. The Leghorn is a classic American breed and produces a perfect white egg. Rhode Island Reds are a hearty bunch that lay brown eggs and are excellent pasture foragers. Our hens range free on pasture and are fed local, organically grown grains. This makes for eggs high in heart-healthy Omega-3s that feature an exceptionally deep yellow yolk, rich in flavor and perfect for baking.
Quarter, whole and half pigs are also available for purchase here.
