Fairfield County Farmers Markets begin opening in May and early June and we will update the listings below (from 2016) with 2017 information as it becomes available. Here are the markets updated so far:

Bethel Community Market (updated for 2017)

This market opened in July 2011 thanks to the work of Bethel First Selectman Matthew Knickerbocker. The original Bethel farmers’ market is one of the oldest in the state and is listed below.

Bethel Farmers’ Market (updated for 2017)

The Bethel Farmers’ Market is one of the oldest markets in the state of Connecticut – 33 years!. It was started over three decades ago by a group of farmers, most of whom still participate in the market. The market offers shoppers a wide range of products to choose from – beautiful plants, fruits and vegetables, soap and body products, baked goods, meats, eggs, handmade granola and awesome prepared foods.  All of the vendors are located within 50 miles of Bethel, making it a truly local food experience.

Danbury Farmers’ Market (updated for 2017)

Come visit City Center Danbury‘s market  at our NEW LOCATION– the Danbury Green. ​

CT Grown produce, shoreline shellfish, fresh bread and eggs are available for purchase and WIC certificates and senior coupons are accepted.  Specialty foods and crafters encouraged. Please contact City Center for more information. Convenient location; free parking right next to the market.

This market accepts and doubles SNAP, matches WIC and Senior FMNP vouchers, and has a special program for Seniors and Veterans. Bus passes are provided to shoppers and a free Trolley on Main street will bring people to the market.

June 24– October 21 at the Danbury Green.
Nutrition programs once a month, English with Spanish translation. Printed nutrition materials available in English, Portuguese and Spanish. $15 senior incentive produce certificates provided at the end of the program. Georgetown Farmers’ Market (updated for 2017)

A friendly place where local farmers and producers have been bringing their best to the village of Georgetown CT since 1998. Shoppers will enjoy everything from fresh vegetables and fruits to eggs, meats and poultry, maple syrup, honey, baked goods, and prepared foods.

Greenwich Farmers’ Market (updated for 2017)

The Greenwich Farmers’ Market has been a popular and well-visited Saturday morning event for over 15 years. Connecticut farmers travel from as far as Lyme and Roxbury, and many towns in between, to bring customers the freshest produce and products.  The market is conveniently located right off Exit 3 on I 95, and easily accessible to both Connecticut and New York shoppers.

Monroe Farmers’ Market (update for 2017)
