Connecticut beekeeper, author and honey sommelier C. Marina Marchese will take guests on a tasting journey to discover the unique sensory qualities (terroir!) of hyper-regional, Connecticut honeys including selections from Honey Oak Farm in Woodbury, Hannan Honey in Southbury, Autumn Harvest Orchard in Norfolk, and Marina’s own Red Bee apiary in Weston.
The Fairfield Downtown Farmers Market is now open for the season and runs each Sunday from 10-2 at the Sherman Green.
The Westport Farmers’ Market (WFM), a thriving local hub for seasonal food, wants you to fall in love with your kitchen again. Twenty top area chefs and restaurants have signed up to provide free culinary instruction each week from 10:15 to 11:00 a.m. so you can learn to create delicious meals and snacks at home using fresh ingredients from the market.
The CT Specialty Food Association (CSFA) held its 14th annual Product Awards Competition on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington. Over 165 specialty food items from Connecticut’s budding specialty food community entered into 39 categories with hopes of receiving the prestigious Food Product of the Year award.

It will take place on Saturday, May 28th, from 11 to 5 p.m. at the Gary The Olivia Theater – 249 Flanders Road, Bethlehem, on the lush, beautiful grounds of the Abbey of Regina Laudis.
