Fairfield Cheese Company opened Greenwich Cheese Company at 154 East Putnam Avenue in the Cos Cob section of Greenwich on December 11, 2014. The new location will carry on the tradition of offering the area’s best selection of cut-to-order artisan and farmstead cheese from around the world, including some of CT’s best artisan and farmstead cheese, in addition to an array of small batch charcuterie and specialty foods.
The CT Specialty Food Association (CSFA) held it’s twelfth Product Awards Competition on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville. One hundred eighty-four specialty food items from Connecticut-based manufacturers were entered into 35 categories, with hopes of receiving the prestigious honor of CSFA Product Award Winner 2013.
I had the pleasure again this year of being involved in the Connecticut Specialty Food Association’s Product Awards Competition. The competition was held at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville. Although this was the Competition’s 12th year, it is only the third year that Connecticut wines have been included in the competition and the judging was intense.
