Urban Lettuce Tasting Featured at Green Drinks

Urban lettuce is growing indoors in Bridgeport as part of MetroCrops’ effort to supply retailers with fresh, local food grown by local workers using smart technology. Steve Domyan of MetroCrops and the company’s UCONN College of Agriculture student interns will be at the Green Drinks meeting on Tuesday, January 8, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm to discuss their USDA-funded research and conduct a taste test survey. Come on over for a taste of local mesclun mix!
