Farm dinners remain so popular that the summer 2015 season is seeing a reprise of many of last year’s events. Whether you’re planning a night out with your significant other, a friend, or a large group, reserve your seat right away because tickets go fast. The Millstone Farm “Farm to Fork” Series is already sold out and just a handful of tickets remain for Outstanding in the Field dinners at The Hickories and Waldingfield Farm.
The authors of the Connecticut Farm Table Cookbook have begun an exciting book tour that includes stores, restaurants and farmers’ markets that we know and love. The first event is tomorrow, at Back 40 Mercantile in Greenwich, followed by a cocktail and book signing party at Terrain next Monday, then a farm-to-table dinner at Parallel Post on June 25. There are many more spring and summer events to come!
I have one word to describe Parallel Post at the Trumbull Marriott: phenomenal. I could say it’s because they source everything as locally as possible. When they can’t, superior quality still reigns. They want organic. They want fair trade. They want sustainable. What you get is high-quality, clean food.
