Winter farmers’ markets are popular shopping destinations in Fairfield County. And why not? We have four season farmers, food vendors who are dedicated to their craft throughout the seasons, and consumers eager to buy locally grown food even if it means braving winter weather. Winter farmers’ markets in Westport, Southport, and Monroe will run this season, all in indoor, heated venues.

Fleishers Craft Butchery Invites Public to Celebration

Fleishers Craft Butchery is opening their doors on Saturday, May 9, from 3 until 6 pm to celebrate and converse about the future of the newly merged company and what it means for the community. CEO Ryan Fibiger, Head Butcher Paul Nessel, and COO Sam Garwin will be there to meet and greet and answer any questions you might have.

Belta’s Farm

Add one more farm to your CSA list—Belta’s Farm on Bayberry Lane in Westport. Family-owned and operated since 1945, they’ve been at farmers’ markets and sold wholesale to such well-known corporations as Stew Leonard’s and Campbell’s Soup.
